You are transferring the cost of the product to the shipping instead of the product to increase its attraction. Most people price their shipping between $7-13 dollars for this method. The higher you go the harder it will be to make sales so it really is a trade-off. If your shipping is $9 then you want to find very cheap products on Aliexpress less than $3. This is so you can make at least $6 profit with each sale. Any less and it really isn’t worth it.
