Today we are going to talk about something near and dear to my heart. Should you quit dropshipping? That’s the question being asked today. The subject is near and dear to my heart because I was close to quitting dropshipping at one time. Thinking back I am so glad I didn’t or else I wouldn’t be writing this article for you today. What a shame that would be.

I considered quitting dropshipping because I didn’t have immediate success. At the first hurdle, I fell on my face. Not literally of course but you get the idea. My ego was tested because I was sure I would become a dropshipping millionaire overnight. It didn’t work out like this so I became frustrated. For a while I was close to hanging up the gloves as I was losing money.

This was difficult as I was a student at the time with little income. Thinking back, I’m so glad I didn’t quit. Things slowly started to get better and where I was losing money, I started to gain. After a while I started to become profitable and I could finally start scaling. This is truly the best feeling in the world after struggling initially. Today I want to give you some motivation because I know some of you are finding it harder than others. Should you quit dropshipping? Let’s find out.

Should You Quit Dropshipping? – The Truth

Everyone is different so no two people’s dropshipping story will be exactly the same. What takes someone one week may take you two weeks. It may take another person three weeks. Hopefully you understand what I’m getting at here.

You must be patient. I could tell you that you will be successful with dropshipping after a month but what if it takes you two months? Does that mean you will quit if you don’t find success after a month? This is why it’s difficult to give an exact time length for success. I know one thing for certain though. You will never find success with dropshipping if you quit.

Dropshipping is a business model that requires a number of different skills to succeed at. Copywriting, product research, and Facebook ads are some examples. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be an expert at all these things. You only need a basic understanding of each to see some success. If you become an elite dropshipper, you can always hire someone else to do these jobs for you.

Some people are in love with the idea of dropshipping. They want the lifestyle it gives but they aren’t prepared to do the necessary work to get there. If you aren’t prepared to learn the business model, you will never achieve the lifestyle. This is why sacrifice is important to understand. You are sacrificing some money and time now to enjoy the life dropshipping brings.

Money is an obstacle for many interested in dropshipping. Although it is one of the cheapest businesses you can start, it isn’t free. You can find success with $500-1000 but the more money you have available to you the better. If you only have $500 in the bank, spending that $500 will be harder than someone who has $5000 in the bank. That’s 100% of someone’s savings compared to 10%.

With that said, try and have some money coming in every week or month. This ensures your bank will never run dry. If that means you must work at a restaurant or corner store, so be it. Think of it as an investment in your future. I would also recommend looking into online freelancing work. If you have a skill, it can be monetized. This includes video editing, writing, web design and so much more. So, should you quit dropshipping? No, keep learning, testing new products and ad sets. You can’t fail if you never give up. Trust me on that.
